A representative of the LRA will be at 6111 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, St. Louis, MO, 63133 on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. for an open house for prospective bidders.

Instruction to join the ZOOM virtual meetings for pre-bid conference and sealed-bid opening will be made available by 9/24/2021.

Phase 1 consists of stabilization work to preserve the existing building located at 6111 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, St. Louis, MO, 63133, including careful removal of existing material, salvage and storage of indicated materials for re-use, the complete replacement of the roof and dormers, structural repairs to the columns and trusses supporting the roof structure and repairs, and restoration of exterior building elements, including slate siding, windows, trim, decorative elements, etc., and the painting of those elements. Installation of new tarps, securing temporary framing, and all openings to the structure, and any other action necessary to secure the building to ensure it is weather-tight and stable. Interior work associated with the stabilization project is limited to the installation of a handrail on a portion of the stairs from the first floor to the second floor.

Phase 2 of the project consists of a redevelopment plan for the Wellston Station building and surrounding area. It is contemplated that beyond the stabilization required in Phase I, redevelopment of the building into an appropriate land use will occur.
