Mississippi Greenway: Water harvesting system repair (897D)

Background: The existing water harvesting system (Wahaso) was installed between 2014- 2016. After the system was installed the pit/vault the control panels are located in flooded. Since that time the system has not operated. Repair attempts have been made with no success. The goal of this project is to replace the damaged components with a new system that can handle the high heat and moisture environment the system is located in. Work consists of: • Removal and replacement of existing water harvesting pumps, control panels and components with new pump station including water harvesting pump, control panel and associated system components as outlined in drawing and specifications. Basis of design in Watertronics pump station. An equivalent design will be evaluated for acceptance by National Park Service and Great Rivers Greenway. • Inspect all electrical connections, control panels, and electrical wiring to ensure that all is up to code and no damage is present. Remove all unused wires and panels. • Install a second sump pump with a battery backup system.
